Computer Applicable Areas

Computers today are being applied to almost all areas in our modern world today. Below are areas in which computer is being applied.

1. Medicine

One of the major areas computer is being applied to is medicine. Most of the equipments used in hospitals are either Analog Computers, Digital or Hybrid Computers. Various computers found in hospitals are: X-ray scanners, Electrocardiogram machines, Thermometers, Monitoring machines which are used to monitor or patient's full condition, and other machines which are used in hospitals and laboratories for various medical purposes.

2. Agriculture

Computers are also applied in agriculture for making future predictions to avoid loss. The handling and keeping of records in commercial agriculture is handled by computers. We also have automated farm devices which ease work in agriculture. Communication devices also play a role in agriculture as well as weather forecasting devices for predicting weather conditions which helps farmers to know what to do, when and how to start pre-planting, planting and post-planting operations.

3. Banking and Finance

Banks use computers for keeping customers account information and transaction records. Analog computers are also used in banks to count money when a customer comes directly into the bank to withdraw cash. In the financial sector of nation's economy computers are used by central banks to print notes of cash.

4. Space crafts

Computers are also seen in space crafts, which are often used for navigation, system management and controls. They can also be seen in space exploration.

5. Industry

Most industrial warehouse today use computer for their recording keeping, data analysis, managing of inventories and building of materials. It can also be applied in making prototypes of products to be sold. Also, in the IT sectors in industries, computer are applied the areas of communication and distribution of human tasks through emailing or automated scheduling.

6. Education

Computers today is fully applied in education. Schools use computers for teaching students, recording of students' information, carrying out practicals and lots more. It is also a source of information gathering for researchers who wants to find out information from the internet.

7. Home Use

In modern homes today computers are found everywhere: From your PC (Personal Computer), to Telephones, TV which can be used to communicate within and outside your home, make phone calls, send texts, watch movies etc.

8. Business

Almost all business today use computer for their day-to-day activities. Computers are widely used by both small business and especially large business corporations.

9. Government

Computers are also used by the Government of a nation to store citizens' data, check population growth, issue out National ID cards and passports and lots more.
