Windows 10 Settings (Gaming)

This settings section has to do with gaming in your computer system and all its settings and how to enable or set them as you desire.

(i) Xbox Game Bar

The Xbox Game bar is the bar that appears and recognize any game activities currently going on.
The Xbox game bar can also be used for screen recording, screenshot and lots more as stated in the brief description here.

You can switch ON/OFF this by clicking on the switch button. You can also enable the option - Open Xbox game using this button on a controller by clicking on the checkbox beside it.

The next heading after this, is the (Keyboard Shortcut). Under this heading you will find different shortcuts which you can customize using any keyboard key combination you want or prefer. The left side contain actions of what will happen, while the right side contains the windows shortcut and your own shortcut to perform that action of what will happen.
For example, the first shortcut there is: Open Xbox Bar Game (left side action) - at the right side (Win + G) for windows shortcut.
Then below it, you are to input your won personal shortcut which will still perform the same action on the left side.
If you scroll down, you will find a link Learn more about Xbox game bar - when you click on this link, it will open your default browser showing you more information for the internet on Xbox game bar.

Lastly, at the right side of this page, under the related settings page, there is a link Graphic settings - when you click this link, it opens another page, where you can set your graphics performance preference.

(ii) Captures

This settings page is where you can set and control how you capture your game screenshots and other screen recordings.

At the top of this page, below the first sentence, there is a link learn more about capture - as usual when you click on this link, it opens your default browser and get information from the internet for this setting.

Next after this is choosing the location (folder) where you want to save your screenshot and game clips. This you can do by clicking on the Open folder button. This will open your default location in the file explorer, then you can change the location.
There is also a link How to save to different folder which when clicked on, opens your default browser and brings out ways on how to save your screenshots and clips to a different folder.

Under the second heading (Background Recording) you can click on the switch button under the description: Record in the background while I'm playing a game.
Remember that switching ON this option might reduce the quality of your game play.

The third heading here is the (Record this). Under this you can set the maximum length you want for your recording.

The fourth heading is the (Recorded audio). Under this heading, you can switch ON/OFF record audio when you are recording you game and enable turn mic on by default when you are recording.
You can also set the quality type of your audio, increase and decrease recording volume for both microphone volume and system volume by moving the range option to either left or right.
You can also choose to record the game audio only by clicking on the checkbox beside Record game only.

The last heading here is the (Recorded Video). Under here, you can select the frame rate you want to use, video quality and also enable/disable capture mouse cursor in recordings

(iii) Game Mode

This setting page is used to turn ON/OFF game mode. As rightly stated in the description, when the game mode is ON windows will optimize your game for play.

(iv) Xbox Networking

The Xbox networking settings page shows you details on Connection status, Performance and also Xbox Live Multiplayer.
If there are any problems, you can click on the Check again or the Fix it buttons to re-check or fix any network issues. There are also link which you can click here to get more information on the Xbox live Multiplayer.
