In our every life we encounter a computer. Computers are around us and everywhere we go. In school, at home, big restaurants, banks, offices etc. These computers make life easy for us. They help us calculate and solve problems. These days computer can even make predictions (for example weather forecasting) and also be used for entertainment and lots more

In basic terms a computer is an electronic machine that accepts input data, processes it and brings out an output known as the result.
Or we can say that a computer is an electronic device that can manipulate data, store information gotten from those data and gives out a desired output using the user's selected instruction format.

Computer can also be defined as a machine or rather a device that performs calculations, much faster than humans. It performs operations and tasks based on the instructions being provided by the software program it is running on, and produces an accurate result usually called information.

Computer has many definitions apart from these mentioned above, but the major things that you need to take note of when defining a computer are: takes input, process data, store information and brings out result called output
