Transfering Files

There are several ways to transfer files from your computer device to other devices. These methods are very simple and easy.


    HOW TO TRANSFER FILES BETWEEN PC AND PHONE
  • Step 1 - Connect your phone to your laptop using your USB cable.
  • Step 2 - On your phone, tap the notification which shows Charging this device via USB. (This will open other options)
  • Step 3 - Set your option to Transferring files or File Transfer (or Media files).
  • Step 4 - Open your file explorer in your computer system and click on This PC option at the left vertical navigation pane. Under the section Devices and Drives you will see your phone device here, Double Click on it to open your phone files
  • Step 5 - You can now start transferring files between your PC and your phone by copying and pasting.

    • HOW TO TRANSFER FILES BETWEEN PC AND USB DRIVE
  • Step 1 - Plug your USB Drive to your computer using any of your USB ports available.
  • Step 2 - Open your file explorer in your computer system and click on This PC option at the left vertical navigation pane. Under the section Devices and Drives you will see your USB Drive here, Double Click on it to open it.
  • Step 3 - Then open another file explorer window page. Search for the file you want to transfer. When you see it, Right Click on the file (a list menu will open). Then Click on the Copy option.
  • Step 4 - Go to the USB file explorer window page that, Right Click on that page and go down to Paste and click on it.

    • HOW TO TRANSFER FILES BETWEEN PC AND MEMORY CARDS
  • Step 1 - Put your memory card inside a Micro SD card reader and plug it your computer system using any of the compatible ports.
  • Step 2 - Open your file explorer in your computer system and click on This PC option at the left vertical navigation pane. Under the section Devices and Drives you will see your Memory card here, Double Click on it to open it.
  • Step 3 - Then open another file explorer window page. Search for the file you want to transfer. When you see it, Right Click on the file (a list menu will open). Then Click on the Copy option.
  • Step 4 - Go to the Memory card file explorer window page that, Right Click on that page and go down to Paste and click on it.

    • HOW TO TRANSFER FILES BETWEEN PC AND EXTERNAL HARD DISK DRIVE
  • Step 1 - Plug your External Hard Drive to your computer using any of your USB ports available.
  • Step 2 - Open your file explorer in your computer system and click on This PC option at the left vertical navigation pane. Under the section Devices and Drives you will see your External Hard Drive here, Double Click on it to open it.
  • Step 3 - Then open another file explorer window page. Search for the file you want to transfer. When you see it, Right Click on the file (a list menu will open). Then Click on the Copy option.
  • Step 4 - Go to the External Hard file explorer window page that, Right Click on that page and go down to Paste and click on it.

CONCLUSION

In this tutorial I believe you have been able to see how you can transfer files between your PC and other devices (Phone, USB Drive, Memory Cards, External Hard Drive)
