How To Prevent Accidental Editing

In this tutorial, I am going to be showing you how you can prevent accidental editing in PowerPoint. This is very simple, just follow the few steps below.

  • HOW TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL EDITING
  • Step 1 - Open your PowerPoint presentation. Click on the File tab.

  • Step 2 - At the left side of the home page being displayed, click on the Info option. Click on the Protect Presentation button option and this will display and dropdown list.

  • Step 3 - From the dropdown list, click on the Always Open Ready Only option.

  • Step 4 - Your presentation document is now ready-only. When someone opens your, PowerPoint will ask them to Opt-in before editing.

    NOTE:

    To remove this, simply follow the same steps above and click on the same option to remove it.

  • Step 5 - Now save and re-open the document again. Notice that prompt message as seen in the image below.
