In this tutorial I will be showing you the different areas in PowerPoint Environment.

Below are the areas in PowerPoint environment you need to know before diving deep into PowerPoint.

  • 1. Title Bar - Shows the Title of the Document and Name of the Software or Application.
  • 2. Quick Access Tool Bar - Shows your quick access tool icons.
  • 3. Menu Tab - Shows the Menu Tabs Ribbons
  • 4. Search Bar - Used to search for commands and features
  • 5. Account Name - Shows the name of your account that is signed in.
  • 6. Buttons - These are the close, minimize, restore, help and ribbon option buttons.
  • 7. Ribbons - Shows group of related commands
  • 8. Dialog Box Launcher - Opens other options for those particular grouped commands.
  • 10. Slide Area - Where text, images, video, objects etc are placed for the presentation.
  • 11. Slide Tab - This is the area that displays each slide in a particular order.
  • 12. Status Bar - Shows the number of pages, words, accessibility checks and proofing errors
  • 13. Slide View Format - Shows document in Normal, Slide Sorter, Reading Mode and Slide Show format.
  • 14. Zoom Slider - For zooming in and out.
