Quick Themes And Styles

In this tutorial, I will be showing you how you can quickly apply themes and other styling to your slides with just simply clicks. Themes and styles help to beautiful your slides and makes it more presentable and visually appealing during slideshow presentations. Simply follow the practical steps below to learn this today.

  • QUICK THEMES
  • Step 1 - Open the PowerPoint document that you want to apply quick themes and styles to.

  • Step 2 - Click on the Design tab. The design tab has three (3) group of related commands which are the Themes, Variants and Customize.

  • Step 3 - In themes group, there are various types of themes you can apply to all your slides at once, by simply clicking on it. You can place your mouse point over themes and see how it changes the slides accordingly.

  • Step 4 - To see more themes, simply click on the More icon at the bottom right edge of the themes group.

  • Step 5 - More themes will be displayed which you can select from. Also, there is an option to get themes locally from your computer which is the Browse For Themes options.

  • After applying the themes that you want to use in your slides, you can also simply change the styles such as the color, fonts, effects and background styles.

  • Step 1 - In the Design tab, inside the Variant group there are different kinds of styles that you can click and apply to slides. You can also place your mouse point over them and see how they look in your slide before clicking to choose one.

  • Step 2 - After clicking on any one of them, it will be applied to all your slides.

  • Step 3 - To apply styles categorically, you can click on the on the More icon at the bottom right edge of the variant group.

  • Step 4 - This will open four (4) categories of options which are the Color, Fonts, Effects and Background Styles.

  • Step 5 - To quickly change the color styling for all the slides, simply go to the Color category. This will bring out a sub list of Office color combinations to select from and use. You can also place your mouse point over them and see how they look in your slide before clicking to choose one.

  • Below the office color combination list, you have two options which are: Customize Colors and Reset Slide Theme Colors. When you click on the Customize Colors option, a dialog box will be display where you can create new color theme or customize the existing one.

  • When you click on the Reset Slide Theme Colors option, your theme slide will be reset to its default theme
  • Step 6 - To quickly change the font styling for all the slides, simply go to the Font category. This will bring out a sub list of Office fonts to select from and use. You can also place your mouse point over them and see how they look in your slide before clicking to choose one.

  • Below the office font list is the Customize Colors option, when you click on this option it will be display a dialog box where you can customize the font styling.

  • Step 7 - To quickly change the effect styling for all the slides, simply go to the Effects category. This will bring out a sub list of Office effects to select from and use. You can also place your mouse point over them and see how they look in your slide before clicking to choose one.

  • Step 8 - To quickly change the background styling for all the slides, simply go to the Background Styles category. This will bring out a sub list of background color styles to select from and use. You can also place your mouse point over them and see how they look in your slide before clicking to choose one.

  • Below the office color combination list, you have two options which are: Format Background and Reset Slide Background. When you click on the Format Background option, the Format Background Pane will be displayed at the right side of the PowerPoint windows environment where you can use various options to format the background of your slides.

  • When you click on the Reset Slide Background option, your theme slide will be reset to its default theme
