Line Spacing

DEFINITION:

Line spacing is the distance between two lines.
Paragraph spacing is the distance between two paragraphs.

Line and Paragraph spacing are necessary in formatting your slide to make the text in your text box easy to read by people.

  • LINE SPACING
  • Step 1 - Select the block of text that you want to apply line spacing to.

  • Step 2 - In your Home tab, go to the Paragraph group and click on the Line Spacing button.

  • Step 3 - From the dropdown list of line spacing options, click on the any of the line spacing options you want to use and it will be applied to the block of text.

  • Step 4 - To use more line spacing options, you can click on the option Line Spacing Options from the dropdown list.

  • Step 5 - The Paragraph Dialog Box will be displayed. Inside this dialog box, you can manually set the line spacing from the spacing section as shown in the image below.

  • Step 6 - You can also click on the Tabs button which will display a dialog box for you to access other options.

  • Step 7 - After you have finished setting your preferred line spacing options, click on the OK buttons in the dialog box and the line spacing will be applied successfully.
