Group Objects

In this tutorial, I will be showing you how you can group objects together so that you can edit them as a single object instead of individually.

  • GROUP OBJECTS
  • Step 1 - First insert some objects into your slide (it can be shapes or pictures).

  • Step 2 - Select the objects you want to group. Depending on the object (Picture, Shape, Video etc) in the menu tab, click on either Shape Format, Video Format, Format, Picture Format tab. Then go to the Arrange group; click on Group. From the dropdown list displayed, click on the Group command.

  • Step 3 - Your selected objects is now successfully group, and you can now format and edit it as a single object.

Note that there are two other commands remaining which are the Regroup and Ungroup

Regroup

This command is used to group the exact numbers of objects that you previously ungrouped.

2.

Ungroup

This command is used to break up the grouped objects into its individual objects.

TIP:

The difference between Group and Regroup is that Group command is used after selecting the objects you want to group, while Regroup command if you want to group the same objects again after ungrouping them.

TIP:

Keyboard shortcut for grouping objects is: Ctrl + G
While ungrouping is: Ctrl + Shift + G
