Preview and Print Slides

In this tutorial, I will be showing you how to preview and print a hard copy of your sides in your presentation file or document.

  • PREVIEW
  • Step 1 - Click the File tab which will open the PowerPoint home page. In that home page, from the options at the left side click on Print.

  • Step 2 - The slide preview will be displayed at the last column (right side) of that page.

  • PRINT
  • Step 1 - Click the File tab which will open the PowerPoint home page. In that home page, from the options at the left side click on Print. This will display the slide at the last column (right side) of that page.

  • Step 2 - In the second column, set the number of copies that you want to print, select the printer you want to use and finally set your printing options under the settings heading

    • Print All Slides - This option will print all slides on your presentation
    • Print Selection - This option will only print the slides you selected
    • Print Current Slide - This option will print the slide you are currently on.
    • Custom Range - Prints specific slides or range of slides that you entered.
    • Print Hidden Slides - This option print slides that are hidden in your presentation
    • Print Layouts - This option contains other options that is used to select the layout your slide should be printed out: Full Page Slides, Notes Pages and Outline
    • Handout - This option contains other options that is used to structure your slide should be printed out: 1 Slides, 2 Slides, 3 Slides, 6 Slides Horizontal, 6 Slides Horizontal, 9 Slides Horizontal, 4 Slides Vertical, 6 Slides Vertical, 9 Slides Vertical.
    • Frame Slides - This option put frame in the slides.
    • Scale To Fit Paper - This option when enabled is used to scale the slide to fix the paper size being set.
    • High Quality - This option when enabled is used to print slide in high quality.
    • Print Comments - This option when enabled, prints the slides together with any comments on it
    • Print Links - This option when enabled, prints the slides together with any links on it.
    • Collated - Prints multiple slides in a complete set.
    • Uncollated - This is the opposite of collated.
    • Portrait Orientation - This option prints your worksheet in portrait mode (vertically).
    • Landscape Orientation - This option prints your worksheet in landscape mode (horizontally).
    • Color - This option is used when you want to print your slide in its original form (Especially when the slides contain different color objects).
    • Grayscale - This option is used when you want to print your slide in grayscale form
    • Color - This option is used when you want to print your slide in black and white form.

  • Step 3 - After setting the above, click on the Print option at the top second column. Your slide(s) will be sent to the printer to print it out exactly the way you have set it.
