PowerPoint - TextBox

TextBox

TextBox is another way of inserting text in any part of your slide. If you are familiar with textbox in Ms-Word, the steps below will be very easy for you to follow through with.

  • USING TEXTBOX
  • Step 1 - Open PowerPoint application and click on the Blank Presentation option from the Home Windows that is displayed.

  • Step 2 - A slide will be created with a default office theme as shown in the image below.

  • Step 3 - Click on the Insert tab and go to the Text group. Click on the command Text Box.

  • Step 4 - Notice that your mouse pointer has changed to the text box icon. Now click hold and draw out the text box size that you want.

  • Step 5 - After releasing your thumb from the click button, your textbox will be successfully displayed. Now you can type in the text you want to insert in the text using your keyboard.

  • Step 6 - After you finish typing or inserting your text, click outside the text box area for a clear view.

  • FORMATTING - Text box can be formatted by clicking on the Format Shape tab and using the group of commands in the ribbons. You can change the Fill Color, Text Outline and lots more.

    When you Right Click on the editing point, you can use the Mini Toolbar to format your textbox.
