Moving around your document area is very easy when you know how to do it right.

Navigation in Ms-word is the process of moving or directing your document to a particular position.

  • To scroll up one pace at a time - Click on the vertical scroll up button.
  • To scroll down one pace at a time - Click on the vertical scroll down button.
  • To scroll left one pace at a time - Click on the horizontal scroll left button.
  • To scroll right one pace at a time - Click on the horizontal scroll right button.
  • To scroll up and down at will - Click and drag the vertical scroll bar up or down.
  • To scroll left and right at will - Click and drag the horizontal scroll bar left or right.

TIPS:

Some mice have scroll roll in-between the click and right click button, which can be used to scroll up and down your document area.

If you are using a laptop
To scroll up or down: Place two of your fingers on your touchpad and move them up or down without raising or removing your fingers from your touchpad.
To scroll right or left: Place two of your fingers on your touchpad and move them right or left without raising or removing your fingers from your touchpad.
