Page Header and Footer

In this tutorial, I will be showing you how you can insert header and footer to your document. In some documents such are your CV or Resume, placing a nice header is often necessary. Also, most times what is usually found in the footer of documents is the page number or brief URL links to information about the document.

  • INSERTING PAGE HEADER
  • Step 1 - Click on the Insert tab, go the Header and Footer group and click on the Header option. This will display list of built-in headers for you to select from and use.

  • Step 2 - After clicking on the type of header you want to use; it will be inserted at the top of the document. You can edit the header text and color.

  • Step 3 - In the Header and Footer tab inside the Close group click on the close command to exit.

  • Step 4 - DONE!

NOTE:

After exiting the header, notice that your header now has a dim background.

  • INSERTING PAGE FOOTER
  • Step 1 - Click on the Insert tab, go the Header and Footer group and click on the Footer option. This will display list of built-in headers for you to select from and use.

  • Step 2 - After clicking on the type of footer you want to use; it will be inserted at the bottom section of the document. You can edit the footer text and color.

  • Step 3 - In the Header and Footer tab inside the Close group click on the close command to exit.

NOTE:

After exiting the footer, notice that your footer now has a dim background.

To get more header and footer styles, edit footer or header and remove footer or header, go to the Insert tab, inside the Footer and header group, click on either footer or header (depending on the one you want to work on). From the dropdown box, move down and use any of the options you want.
