DEFINITION:

An Ms-word template is an editable pre-designed document that is used to create document quickly with little or no formatting.

MS Word provides numerous categories of templates that might suit then purpose of your document. You can use any of the Ms-word built-in templates or create your own templates by following the methods and steps below.

  • USING MS-WORD TEMPLATES
  • Step 1 - Open your Ms-Word application. OR if your Ms-word is already open, click the File tab to open your home page in Ms-word.
    Click New option at the right side (first column).

  • Step 2 - Scroll down and view the templates you like. To start using any one, click on it and the template will be opened as an editable document.

  • Step 3 - You can edit the text to fill in your preferred text or information. DONE!

You can also search and download templates online. In the home page, scroll to the search input and type in the type of template you want. (You must internet connection for your search to be displayed)

  • CREATING YOUR OWN TEMPLATES
  • Step 1 - Open your Ms-Word application. Click New option at the right side (first column). Then click a blank page.

  • Step 3 - After designing your template in ms-word, click file tab, click on Save As and choose the location you want to save your template.

  • Step 4 - When Ms-word displays your file explorer to type in the name of your document and type. Type the name, then change the File type to Word Template (*dotx) and click the Save to save.

  • Step 5 - Your template will be successfully saved.
