Page Watermark

In this tutorial, I will be showing you how to add a page watermark to your document. A page watermark is a text or graphic behind the main content of the document. Most watermark pages are used by different organization to add authenticity to the quality of that document. E.g. Jamb, WAEC, NECO etc makes use of watermark in their document.

  • SETTING PAGE WATERMARK
  • Step 1 - Open the document you want to insert watermark to the page.
  • Step 2 - Click on the Design tab, go the Page Background group and click on the Watermark option. (This will display default watermarks). Click on any of the watermark of your choice and it will be inserted to your document.

  • SETTING CUSTOM WATERMARK
  • Step 1 - Open the document you want to add watermark to.
  • Step 2 - Click on the Design tab, go the Page Background group and click on the Watermark option. From the dropdown list click on the Custom Watermark option. (This will display a custom watermark dialog box)

  • For Picture
  • Step 3 (a) - From the dialog box, you can set a picture as watermark by selecting picture option and clicking on the Picture button. This will open a dialog box for you to select which location you want get pictures from. (In this tutorial, I want to get the picture from my computer drive). Clicking on drive location, Ms-word will open the file explorer for you to get the picture from your device. Then click the Insert button.

  • Step 3 (b) - Your picture file name will be shown close to the picture button in the dialog box. Then you can set the scale and choose whether the picture should washout or not. After this, click the Okay button

  • Step 3 (c) - Your watermark will be successfully inserted.

  • For Text
  • Step 3 (a) - From the dialog box, you can set a text as watermark by selecting text watermark option. Type in the text you want to use as watermark in the text input field, set language, font, size, color, layout etc. After this click the Okay button.

  • Step 3 (b) - Your text watermark will be successfully inserted.

  • REMOVING PAGE WATERMARK
  • Step 1 - Open the document you want to remove the page watermark.

  • Step 2 - Click on the Design tab, go the Page Background group and click on the Watermark option. From the dropdown list, click on the Remove Watermark option.

  • Step 3 - The page watermark will be removed successfully.

    NOTE:

    You can get more watermarks online. Go to the design tab again, in the page background group, click the watermark command and from the dropdown list, click on the More watermarks from office.com
