Paragraph Indentation

DEFINITION:

Indentation is the long space that is created at the beginning of a line or paragraph.

Paragraph indentation in ms-word is the process of giving number of blank spaces used to separate the paragraph or line from the left or right margin. This can be done by using the indent buttons in Ms-word.

  • HOW TO APPLY PARAGRAPH INDENTATION
  • Step 1 - Place your text indicator at the beginning of the pragraph that you want to apply indentation to.

  • Step 2 - In your Home tab, go to the Paragraph group and click on the Increase Indent or Decrease Indent button.
    This action will increase or decrease the blank spaces from the starting your paragraph.

    NOTE:

    If you click on the indent button multiple times it will continue increasing or decreasing spaces.

    tips
    TIP:

    You can use the Tab button on your keyboard to apply indentation. Select the paragraph that you want to apply indentation and click on the tab key on your keyboard
