MS Word Environment

In this tutorial I will be showing you the different areas of the MS Word Environment.

Below are the major areas in MS Word Environment:

  • 1. Title Bar - Shows the Title of the Document and Name of the Software or Application.
  • 2. Quick Access Tool Bar - Shows your quick access tool icons.
  • 3. Menu Tab - Shows the Menu Tabs Ribbons
  • 4. Search - Used to search for commands and features
  • 5. Account Name - Shows the name of your account that is signed in.
  • 6. Buttons - These are the close, minimize, restore, help and ribbon option buttons.
  • 7. Rulers - Used to adjust your page margins.
  • 8. Ribbons - Shows group of related commands
  • 9. Dialog Box Launcher - opens other options for those particular grouped commands.
  • 10. Document Area - Where you type your text.
  • 11. Status Bar - Shows the number of pages, words, accessibility checks and proofing errors
  • 12. Focus - Used to focus on your document.
  • 13. Document View Format - Shows document in Read mode, Print Layout and Web layout format.
  • 14. Zoom Slider - For zooming in and out.
