Cells Shades

Shades is the background color of the cell. In excel you can also apply color behind the text inside a cell. To learn how to do this follow the simple steps below.

  • SETTING CELL SHADES
  • Step 1 - Select the cell(s) that you want to apply shades to.

  • Step 2 - Click the Home tab, and go to the Font group. Inside the font group, click on the Fill Color dropdown icon beside it.
    From the dropdown list, you can click on any color you want and it the color will be applied to the background of the selected cell(s).

NOTE:

To see more colors, to use for the shades. Click the Home tab, inside the Font group click the Fill Color dropdown icon beside it. From the dropdown list, click More Color and the color dialog box will be displayed.

  • REMOVING CELL SHADES
  • Step 1 - Select the cell(s) that you want to remove the shades.

  • Step 2 - Click the Home tab, and go to the Font group. Inside the font group, click on the Fill Color dropdown icon beside it.
    From the dropdown list, click on the No Fill option and the cell shade will be removed successfully.
