Textbox are also used in excel to add text to an excel worksheet in a special way. Similar to Ms-word, you can also add textbox anywhere in your excel worksheet. To do this follow the simple steps below.

  • INSERTING TEXTBOX
  • Step 1 - Open the worksheet, click on the Insert tab. Go to the text group, and click on the option Text (This will display all the commands in text group). From that group, click on the Textbox option.

  • Step 2 - Now use your mouse to click on draw the size of the textbox you want.

NOTE:

You can edit the textbox by using Shape Format tab and using the option there to change fill color, outline etc. At this early stage, don't worry much about formatting as I will teach you everything step by step when you get there.
