Templates

Excel comes with built-in templates which you can use to speed up your work process. Using templates is very simple and easy to use, just follow the few steps below and you will be done in less than 5mins.

  • USING TEMPLATES
  • Step 1 - Open your Excel Application in your computer system. Once the application is opened, in the home page some of the templates will be displayed there. But click on the More Templates to display other templates.

  • Step 2 - The New section in the home page will be displayed showing you all the built-in templates that comes with Excel. Click on any one of them and it will open.

  • Step 3 - Once the templates is opened you can now edit that data as you want, and there will be little or no need for formatting.

  • CREATING YOUR OWN CUSTOM TEMPLATES
  • Step 1 - Open your Excel Application in your computer system. Once the application is opened, click the New option from the left side options. From the New options page, in the first row click on the Blank Workbook.

  • Step 2 - Create any document of your choice that you want to use as template so that you can be able to reuse it and others too can be able to use it for their works.
    In my own case, I have designed a Sales Report worksheet, your can be something different.

  • Step 3 - Now click on the File tab, click on the Save option at the right side of the home page. In the save options page, click Browse in the second column and click the location you want to save the templates in the third column (in my own case, I am choosing Desktop).

  • Step 4 - Excel will open your file explorer. Now type in the name you want to save the template with. After that, click on the File Type menu selection and select the Excel Template (*xltx).
    Then click on the Save button to save your template.

  • Step 5 - Template have been saved successfully.
