Print Titles

Print titles in Excel is used to specify rows and columns that are to be printed in separate worksheet pages. A perfect example is when you want to print a student result from the entire class result worksheet OR when you want to print a particular record from a worksheet that contains many records.
Follow the steps below to learn how to do this.

  • PRINT TITLES
  • Step 1 - Open the worksheet that contains the data. Click the Page Layout tab, then go to the Page Setup group and click on Print Titles.

  • Step 2 - The page setup dialog box will be displayed with the sheet tab active. Here you can see the Print Titles section where you can repeat rows and columns to be printed on a separate page.
    Click the Rows to repeat at top input field.

  • Step 3 - Without closing the dialog box, go to your worksheet select the rows you want to print out on a different page. Notice that as you are selecting the rows, only the Rows to repeat at top input field will be visible with the data range in it.

  • Step 4 - After selecting, the full dialog box will become visible back, cross check the rows to be repeated that you selected. Then click the Ok button.

  • Step 5 - Now press Ctrl + P on your keyboard, this will open the print section. First you will see the original worksheet in the first page, and on the second page you will see the selected rows repeated from the original worksheet page.
