MS Excel Environment
In this tutorial I will be showing you the different areas of the Excel Environment.
Below are the major areas in MS Word Environment:
- 1. Title Bar - Shows the Title of the Document and Name of the Software or Application.
- 2. Quick Access Tool Bar - Shows your quick access tool icons.
- 3. Search - Used to search for commands and features
- 4. Account Name - Shows the name of your account that is signed in.
- 5. Buttons - These are the close, minimize, restore, help and ribbon option buttons.
- 6. Ribbons - Shows group of related commands
- 7. Name Box - Shows the address of the current active or selected cell.
- 8. Formula Bar - Place where you can input formulas
- 9. Dialog Box Launcher - Opens other options for those particular grouped commands.
- 10. Sheet Name - This is the name of the workbook sheet.
- 11. Sheet Area - Area that contains cells, rows and columns
- 12. Horizontal ScrollBar - Used to scroll the sheet horizontally (Right and Left).
- 13. Vertical ScrollBar - Used to scroll the sheet vertically (Up and Down).
- 14. Status Bar - Shows the number of pages, words, accessibility checks and proofing errors
- 15. Focus - Used to focus on your document.
- 16. Sheet View Format - Shows workbook sheet in Normal, Page Layout and Page Break Preview.
- 17. Zoom Slider - For zooming in and out.
