MS Excel Environment

In this tutorial I will be showing you the different areas of the Excel Environment.

Below are the major areas in MS Word Environment:

  • 1. Title Bar - Shows the Title of the Document and Name of the Software or Application.
  • 2. Quick Access Tool Bar - Shows your quick access tool icons.
  • 3. Search - Used to search for commands and features
  • 4. Account Name - Shows the name of your account that is signed in.
  • 5. Buttons - These are the close, minimize, restore, help and ribbon option buttons.
  • 6. Ribbons - Shows group of related commands
  • 7. Name Box - Shows the address of the current active or selected cell.
  • 8. Formula Bar - Place where you can input formulas
  • 9. Dialog Box Launcher - Opens other options for those particular grouped commands.
  • 10. Sheet Name - This is the name of the workbook sheet.
  • 11. Sheet Area - Area that contains cells, rows and columns
  • 12. Horizontal ScrollBar - Used to scroll the sheet horizontally (Right and Left).
  • 13. Vertical ScrollBar - Used to scroll the sheet vertically (Up and Down).
  • 14. Status Bar - Shows the number of pages, words, accessibility checks and proofing errors
  • 15. Focus - Used to focus on your document.
  • 16. Sheet View Format - Shows workbook sheet in Normal, Page Layout and Page Break Preview.
  • 17. Zoom Slider - For zooming in and out.
