In this tutorial I will be showing you step by step how to type or write the Pi symbol in excel. Just follow the few steps below to learn how to do this in less than 2mins.

  • PI SYMBOL
  • Step 1 - Open your excel worksheet and type the letter p as shown in the image below.

    NOTE:

    The letter p should be in lowercase not in uppercase.

  • Step 2 - Select the text
    • pi-symbol
  • Step 3 - In the Home tab, go to the Font group and click on the font dropdown arrow icon and search for the font - Symbol and click on it.

  • Step 3 (alternative) - In the Home tab, go to the Font group and type in the font name Symbol in the font search input field as shown in the image below. Then press Enter on your keyboard.

  • Step 4 - The letter p will now be changed to a pi-symbol π as shown in the image below.
