How To Convert Excel To Ms-Word Document

In this tutorial I will be showing you how to convert an excel worksheet document to a Microsoft word document format. Now, in previous tutorials we saw how to convert excel to pdf and csv which was quite similar procedure, but for excel to Ms-word it is different but still easy to follow up with.
Follow the few steps below and your will be able to learn this in few minutes.

  • CONVERTING EXCEL TO MS-WORD DOCUMENT
  • Step 1 - Open the excel worksheet that you want to convert to PDF. You can create a new document and copy the data in my worksheet in the image below if you don't have any excel worksheet saved on your computer system to use for this tutorial.

  • Step 2 - Now select the data and Right Click on it. From the list of options displayed, click on Copy. OR after selecting the data, simply press Ctrl + C on your keyboard.

  • Step 3 - The data will be copied successfully. Notice that anytime you copy a data in any there are always matching ants around it to signify that the document has been copied.

  • Step 4 - Now search for Word in your computer system and click on it to open the application.

  • Step 5 - In the home window of word application, click on the Blank Document option to open a blank document that you want to put your excel worksheet file in.

  • Step 6 - A blank document will be opened. In the Home tab, go to the Clipboard group (which is the first group in the home ribbon). Click on the Paste dropdown arrow icon. A dropdown list of paste options will be displayed.

  • Step 7 - Now if you place your mouse (hover) over the first paste option, the excel worksheet data will be display in your ms-word document following that paste format.

  • You can also do this for the second paste option and see how it appears in your Ms-word document.

  • Also, when you click on the Paste Special option, the Paste Special dialog box will be displayed where you can now select which paste option best suit your needs.

  • Step 8 - After you have click on the paste option you want to use, (in my own case, I used the first paste option) your excel worksheet data will now be successfully pasted in your Ms-word blank document.
    Notice that there will be Ctrl icon just at the bottom left of the data you pasted. When you click on the icon, it will displayed the paste options again by which you can change the data paste option even after pasting.

  • Step 9 - Using the resize icon at the bottom right corner, to make it bigger and more visible. You can also use the move icon at the top left corner to move the data to your desired position in the document. ALL DONE!
