DEFINITION:

Page orientation is the direction in which a document is being displayed.
Page size refers to the length and width of a document.

In this tutorial, I will be showing your how you can set your page orientation and size in Excel. Simply follow the few steps below to learn this.

  • PAGE ORIENTATION
  • Step 1 - Open the worksheet you want to set page orientation for. Click on the Page Layout tab and go to the Page Setup group. Inside the page setup group click on the Orientation option which will display a dropdown list of two options.
    Click on any of your preferred options: Portrait or Landscape

  • Step 1 - Open the worksheet you want to set page size for. Click on the Page Layout tab and go to the Page Setup group. Inside the page setup group click on the Size option which will display a dropdown list of pre-defined different page size options.
    You can click on any of them to apply it as your page size.

    NOTE:

    Setting page size is important, because if the appropriate paper size is not set accordingly, some of its content will be stray off during printing. So, before you print make sure the paper size on your worksheet is the same with the one the printer is using.

  • Step 2 - To set your own custom paper size, click on the Page Layout tab and go to the Page Setup group. Inside the page setup group click on the Size option. From the dropdown list of options click the More Paper Sizes option.
    You can click on any of them to apply it as your page size.

  • Step 3 - The page setup dialog box will be displayed with the page tab active. Here you can now set the Page Orientation, Scaling, Print Quality and Paper Size Options to your preferred needs.
