Insert 3D Models

In this tutorial, I will be showing you step by step on how to add 3D Models into your excel worksheet.

  • INSERTING 3D MODELS
  • Step 1 - Go to the worksheet that you want to insert the 3D Model.
  • Step 2 - Click on the Insert tab, go the Illustrations group and click on the Illustrations option. This will display the full illustrations group of commands. From the illustration group of commands click on the 3D Models option. From the dropdown list displayed, if you have 3D Models on your device, click the From this Device and proceed to insert it. But if you don't have 3D Models on your device, click the Stock 3D Models and proceed to Step-3.

  • Step 3 - A window of 3D Models will be opened. You can use the search input to search for the name of the 3D Models that you want to insert.
    Click on the category you want to select from, then click on the 3d model to mark it. If you want to insert more than one 3d models, click on them. After you have finished selecting the 3d models that you want to insert, click on the Insert button.

  • Step 4 - A downloading dialog box will display showing the downloading progress of the 3d Model. This will only take few seconds depending on how many 3d models you are inserting at once.

  • Step 5 - 3D Models successfully inserted into the worksheet.

  • FORMATTING 3D MODELS
  • Step 1 - Click on the 3D Model you want to format.
  • Step 2 - In the menu tab, click on the 3D Model tab, which will bring out different groups of related commands for you to use and format the screenshot.

  • Step 2 (Alternate formatting) - Right click on the icon you want to format, from the dropdown list, move to Format 3D Model and click on it, (This will open the Format 3d model pane, from the right side of your excel workbook) then select the options you want to use and start formatting the 3d model as you want.
