Preview and Print

Once your worksheet is ready, that is you have made all corrections and possible additions, the next thing now is to preview and print it out. To preview and print your worksheet follow the simple steps below.

  • Step 1 - I will be using the worksheet in the image below to show you how to preview a worksheet for printing.

  • Step 2 - Click the File tab which will open the excel home page. In that home page, from the options at the left side click on Print. This will display the worksheet preview at the second column (right side) of that page.

  • Step 2 - Click the File tab which will open the excel home page. In that home page, from the options at the left side click on Print. This will display the worksheet preview at the last column (right side) of that page.

  • Step 3 - In the second column, set the number of copies that you want to print, select the printer you want to use and finally set your printing options.

    • Print Active Sheets - This option will print the active sheet you are on.
    • Print Entire Workbook - This option will print all sheets in the workbook.
    • Print Selection - Print selection prints only the selected area in the worksheet.
    • Collated - Prints multiple pages in a complete set.
    • Uncollated - This is the opposite of collated.
    • Portrait Orientation - This option prints your worksheet in portrait mode (vertically).
    • Landscape Orientation - This option prints your worksheet in landscape mode (horizontally).
    • Letter - This prints the worksheet in letter size format. You can select other page size options if you want to change it.
    • Normal Margin - Sets the page margin to normal margin. You can select other margin options if you want to change it.
    • No Scaling - This option will print worksheet with the actual size. Other scaling options such as: Fit sheet on One Page, Fit All columns on One Page, Fit All rows on One Page and Custom Scaling options are available if you want to change it.

  • Step 4 - After setting the above, click on the Print option at the top second column. Your worksheet or workbook will be sent to the printer to print it out exactly the way you have set it.
